About us
TILSE GLASS® develops and produces high quality glass solutions for the superyachting industry. Since 1974, TILSE GLASS® has been installed on more than 300 luxury yachts, both new build and refits. Some of the latest projects are BREAKTHROUGH, LEVIATHAN, VIVA and the multiple awarded superyacht LUNA.
TILSE® supports their partners and clients in all project phases with their expertise and many years of experience - all from a single source: From first discussions about potential projects to clarification of technical possibilities with the classification society to 3D measurement with sophisticated technique, production in the own production plant in Germany as well as worldwide installation and service.
The high quality of TILSE® products is not only achieved by the excellent craftsmanship but also by the selection of only the best raw materials. A self-developed resin bonds the compound security glass made out of two or more chemically tempered panes. This makes the glass insensitive to moisture and thus optimally protected against delamination. In addition, the glass offers full protection against dangerous UV rays. The exclusive use of chemical toughening guarantees excellent vision without distortion or deformation that cannot be achieved with thermally toughened glass.

TILSE GLASS®
TILSE GLASS® is a compound security glass made out of two or more chemically tempered panes bonded with our special resin TFG. With this resin and our modern manufacturing process we achieve highest optical quality with the guarantee of no delamination and an outstanding breaking strength, often leading to reduction in the glass thickness.
TILSE GLASS CS®
Superyacht owners and designers want to avoid unattractive and cumbersome fixed or portable deadlights on hull windows and portlights. Using technology we have developed TILSE GLASS CS®, a compound system safety glazing for hull windows and portlights which meets the requirements for Lloyds classed and Cayman Islands flagged superyachts under LY3. With TILSE GLASS CS® both permanently fixed and locally stored deadlights are avoided altogether.
TILSE GLASS BB®
For optimal protection we developed TILSE GLASS BB® based on our well-known TILSE GLASS® product line. TILSE GLASS BB® is a compound security glass with bullet proof and attack-resistant characteristics.
MICROCLEAR®
MICROCLEAR® is a heated glass using TILSE GLASS® with a heating foil. This is the solution for all glazing which must be prevented from icing or steaming up, e.g. in the bridge area.
Chemical Toughening
We offer chemical toughening as a personalized service for customer-owned glass (COG). Our state-of-the-art chemical bath can accommodate glass panes up to a maximum size of 6 x 2.70 meters.
